Space Shuttle Enterprise Flight to NYC

The weather cleared up today for Space Shuttle Enterprise’s flight to NYC and its eventual destination at The Intrepid Museum. It was a picture-perfect flight with shuttle piggy-backing for the ride on top of a modified 747. While The Enterprise was actually the test vehicle for the shuttle program and never went into space, NYC probably has the best looking of all the space shuttles, in my opinion, because it didn’t get the wear-and-tear of the working ships in the fleet. It’s bound to be a hot attraction at The Intrepid Museum.

Here are some shots I got on the pier next to The Intrepid as Space Shuttle Enterprise flew up The Hudson River. Enjoy!
