Occupy Wall Street, 1 Year Later

As I was walking back from visiting the 9/11 memorial in early October last year, I passed by Zuccotti Park, where the Occupy Wall Street protest was still in it’s infancy, not yet reaching its critical mass in NYC nor yet influencing other OWS protests around the country. Here are a few images I captured that day:

A year later OWS has certainly had influence in highlighting many issues of financial inequality. However, time will tell how much impact the movement will have, especially if most of its participants don’t opt to enter the political discourse and make their impact felt in this manner, IMHO.
